The long-awaited arrival of the water generator for the entire village
Pure, fresh, and mineralized water is now available to the 900 residents of Agotové, right near their homes, thanks to the installation of a large atmospheric water generator by AirLife.

A project matured for three years
It all started in August 2023, with an in-depth assessment that made Agotové our priority village: no running water, no electricity, a single manual pump borehole that was still functional but often dry, and a daily water-fetching chore that fell largely on teachers and schoolchildren.
Step by step, AirLife built the suite: water generators at the school in 2024, then in 2025 a tanning booth in the center of the village, equipped by our partner YOORG with the support of the Bouches-du-Rhône Department. At the beginning of 2026, our local partner APESMIR trained the villagers' committee that manages this new common good. All that was missing was the machine...
Step 1
D-Day: the truck arrives at the village
After a long journey, the generator finally arrives in Agotové. The unloading is done carefully, under the curious eyes of the residents who came to witness the event. For many, it is the first time they have seen a machine capable of «making» water.
Step 2
The installation and explanations
The machine is installed and connected to the solar cabin's power supply. The AirLife members take the time to explain how it works: how it captures moisture from the air, how the water is purified and then mineralized, and what simple steps are needed for its daily maintenance.
Step 3
The first drops... then the first buckets
A moment of emotion: the water starts to flow. Clear, fresh, with no taste of earth or iron, it contains no contaminants, unlike the borehole water, which is often laden with nitrates. Children, mothers, and elders come to fill their containers and taste this water «fallen from the sky.».

Step 4
The inauguration: A celebration for the whole village
The inauguration brought together residents, village officials, and our local partners. A true moment of sharing to celebrate the completion of a project carried out together for several years, which is concretely changing the daily lives of the families in Agotové.
And now?
The installation is not an end in itself: for water to flow sustainably, the village is organizing itself.
The villagers management committee, formed by APESMIR, ensures follow-up: meetings, registers, and financial reports.
A water rate symbolism and a joint micro-finance account make it possible to finance the maintenance.
The hygiene awareness continues so that this pure water fully benefits the health of all.
